An Appeal to Animal Lovers
04.29.20 · Sonia Greteman
Our community loves its zoo – one of the nation’s best. So when longtime supporters Mary Lynn Oliver and Sue Watson reached out for our help to create and ignite a patron group – called Zoo Pride – we roared our approval. And got to work.
The new logo works within the Sedgwick County Zoo’s masterbrand, while targeting more mature, deep-pocketed individuals. The zoo’s logo has a youthful, family-friendly appeal. Zoo Pride builds off this with a king of the jungle that is both noble and wise. His stylized mane’s fluid, Interlocking lines suggest movement and connection.
Wildlife and Wild Places
A branded webpage and direct mail target people who love the zoo and extraordinary, immersive encounters. Exclusive Zoo Pride events provide shared experiences with fellow lovers of natural habitats and living things.
Be transported an Asian forest. Watch tigers prowl and Humboldt penguins play. Walk among exotic flora and fauna. Escape the day-to-day. Reconnect and learn. All with a likeminded group of interesting, philanthropic souls who will enrich your life beyond measure.
Next year – May 2021 – the zoo celebrates its 50th birthday and a grand opening of its reimagined visitor center. Establishing Zoo Pride now helps ensure the right people get onboard and help fuel the good things happening. Adventure and shared experiences await.
