Home > Greteman Group creates Wichita’s new Final Friday logo

January 20, 2012

WICHITA, Kan.- Wichita-based branding agency Greteman Group created a logo for the Wichita monthly art crawl, Final Friday. An event hosted today by the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation  celebrated the new energy and promotions planned for Final Friday – which currently attracts about 4,000 people a month.

Final Friday had everything going for it – everything except a strong identity. The agency’s logo unites Final Friday’s two F’s, forming a yin-yang symbol that is both playful and powerful. The bright, bold color palette will help the mark become a readily identifiable beacon for people looking for participating galleries.

“This monthly event has changed the landscape of Wichita and brought the visual arts to the general public,” says Sonia Greteman, president and creative director. “We now have a casual, welcoming venue where people come together to celebrate creative works and those who maybe see the world a bit differently.”

The campaign’s goal is to encourage more local art purchases. The logo will be applied to T-shirts and displayed as 12-by-12 vinyls on windows of participating venues. Final Friday participants can also take part in a monthly drawing for $100 in Art Bucks, funded by the Wichita Arts Council. Entry forms and a drawing box – as well as the ability to redeem Art Bucks – can be found at any qualifying Final Friday venue. People are also encouraged to take a moment to “like” FinalFridayICT on Facebook to keep up-to-date on news – and to learn if they are an Art Bucks winner.
