Greteman Group awarded Fit Friendly recognition
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita-based branding agency Greteman Group was recently awarded Fit Friendly Gold recognition for its commitment to improving employees’ heath.
Fit Friendly has recognized 230 companies in its 11-state Midwest-Affiliate region. Those companies, impact more than 345,070 employees.
The American Heart Association presents Fit Friendly awards to companies that champion the health of their employees and work to create a culture of physical activity and health in the workplace. The program offers companies several ways to be honored on an annual basis: “Gold” is the first tier of recognition. Applicants are judged on criteria including smoking policy, physical activity, nutrition and culture.
Greteman Group office manager Carol Farrow spearheads a health-and-wellness program that incorporates an onsite workout area, lunchtime aerobics, after-hours yoga, nutrition challenges, weight-management programs, smoking-cessation incentives and the GG Snack Attack corner with healthy food options. Farrow offers frequent challenges – everything from daily stretching to taking the stairs. As a member of the YMCA advisory board, Farrow provides insights and leadership to ensure that the program is meeting the needs of the community and carrying out the mission of the YMCA.
“We can’t do our best work when we don’t feel our best,” says Farrow. “Our team loves to be challenged physically almost as much as much as we welcome clients’ creative challenges. A phrase I hear frequently, ‘Bring it on!’”
