Six Decades Strong
In 1951, before there really was such a thing as business aviation, Al Ueltschi saw a gaping need for rigorous, professional training. And had the foresight to establish – in rented space with leased equipment – FlightSafety International. He nurtured his fledgling company long enough for the rest of the aviation world to catch up to his vision. This year FlightSafety celebrates 60 years of enhancing safety, having grown into the world's largest and best professional aviation training provider. Congratulations and thank you, FlightSafety, for the enormous service you provide, making the skies safer for us all.

GG Short Takes
A rundown on what's up with our active, accomplished team members.
Jennifer Szambecki-Benninga becomes the fourth member of the GG crew to join Wichita's exclusive 40 Under 40 club. She's a collaborative problem-solver, a relationship-builder. Innovative, charming, tenacious. In short, she's fabulous. Congrats.
Robert Tolley brings diverse experience to the GG crew. Our new brand associate held marketing internships with Symphony in the Flint Hills, Tierra Verde Development and Planet Hair, and spent four years as a U.S. Navy operations specialist. Robert grew up in aviation: his mom's a general aviation pilot.
Landon Barton blends the passion of youth with talent and skills beyond his years. Our newest graphic designer proved himself as an intern over the past year; now, with a degree in hand from Wichita State, he's joined full-time. Welcome aboard, Landon.
Donna Grow keeps projects on track and clients' needs top of mind with her competence and dependability. In return she's earned a promotion to senior production designer. Accounts include FlightSafety International, Dallas Airmotive and Bombardier Flexjet.
Carol Farrow, GG office manager extraordinaire, has joined the Wichita YMCA Corporate Wellness Advisory Board. Which means she'll be spreading her wisdom far and wide. We knew she was too good to just keep to ourselves.
Shelley Downs keeps raking in the recognitions. Her latest: an Achievement of Excellence by Wichita Media. Shelley snared the award for media planning and buying for the Kansas State Fair, Via Christi and FlightSafety.

Make This Your Summertime Read
When longtime friend, lodging-industry mogul and aviation enthusiast Jack DeBoer launched himself into the world of book publishing, he pulled us in with him. Just as writing Risk Only Money was Jack's way of imparting lessons learned during his 80-year journey as founder of Residence Inn, Summerfield Suites, Candlewood Suites and Value Place; helping publish, distribute and promote the book has been our way of honoring this feisty icon. Check out the website to learn more about the book, to schedule Jack to speak at your next conference, or to buy your copy (hardback, softback or ebook). Did we mention the book hit No. 1 on our area bestseller list the first week it came out, and it's still there? www.RiskOnlyMoney.com

The Only Way to Fly
You're in the market for a pre-owned jet. You could buy one from a broker and take your chances. Or you could buy a pre-owned Bombardier jet from Bombardier. Inspected, restored, customized to your exact specifications. At the same price. Hmm. Kind of a no-brainer. Smart, fun, attention-grabbing ads by Bombardier Pre-Owned point out all the many advantages of buying from the original manufacturer. They make you want to go right out and start kicking a few tires.

Fountain of Creativity
What do you give the client who does everything? A way to convey it all. We gave Fontis Solutions, formerly Image Printing Solutions of Newport Beach, California, a new name, plus an ambitious new website, a capabilities video, a full complement of identity support, and a new theme line: "Business Challenges. Fontis Answers." After lengthy marketing planning and name research, the company came to us for a fresh dip in the well. The name "Fontis," Latin for "source," sprung to the top – so to speak – since it best describes the firm as a very deep, broad and virtually limitless "go-to" source of business communication, supply-chain management, printing and web-based solutions. Our digital team drew on innovative new techniques to prototype and design an elegantly organized website that clearly reflects the Fontis capabilities. www.FontisSolutions.com |
