Finalists named for marketer of the year

The Wichita chapter of the American Marketing Association will announce its Marketer of the Year at its awards luncheon next month.

The winner will be chosen from six top industry nominees, who were picked based on their contributions to the industry, body of work, innovation and community service. More than 70 people were nominated for the award.

The top industry nominees are: Esther Headley, president, the Research Partnership; Bill Gardner, president, Gardner Design; Denny Marlin, marketing director, Gossen, Livingston Associates; Charles Mayer, vice president of marketing, Hawker Beechcraft; Beth Tully, president, Cocoa Dulce; and Lynn Deckinger, director of communications, Youthville.

Aimee Brock of Greteman Group will be recognized as the outstanding marketing student intern.

Jeben Berg, creative director of cross platform solutions for YouTube and Google, will be the guest speaker. Berg will talk about developing videos and using YouTube to add brand equity to an organization.

The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 18 at Newman University’s Dugan-Gorges Conference Center.
